      Security Setup

      RealWear Navigator uses Android Screen Lock to secure access to your device. When using Screen Lock, you can set up a PIN or use a fingerprint scan to unlock your RealWear Navigator.

      Note: When configuring the fingerprint scan, you must choose a PIN to unlock your RealWear Navigator in case the fingerprint scan cannot be used.

      Screen Lock with PIN

      To set up screen lock with a Personal Identification Number (PIN), do the following:

      1. From the RealWear Navigator home page, say “MY PROGRAMS”.
      2. Say “SETTINGS”.
      3. Say “SECURITY” or say, “SELECT ITEM 6”.
        Note: Some options can be selected by saying either the name of the option, or the number that is displayed next to the name.
      4. Say “SCREEN LOCK”, and then say “PIN”.
      5. In the Enter Your PIN page, say the word shown under each number to select the respective number.

      6. Say “ACCEPT”.
      7. Say the words for your PIN again to confirm the selection, and then say “ACCEPT”.
      8. Review the display options and say the option you prefer for your lock page notifications.
      9. Say “DONE”.

      Screen Lock with Fingerprint and PIN

      Note: A PIN is required to scan your fingerprint.

      To set up a PIN and scan your fingerprint, do the following:

      1. From the RealWear Navigator home page, say “MY PROGRAMS”.
      2. Say “SETTINGS”.
      3. Say “SECURITY” or say, “SELECT ITEM 6”.
        Note: Some options can be selected by saying either the name of the option, or the number that is displayed next to the name.
      4. Say “FINGERPRINT”.
      5. Say “FINGERPRINT AND PIN”.
      6. In the Enter Your PIN page, say the word shown under each number to select the respective number.
      7. Say “ACCEPT”.
      8. Say the words for your PIN again to confirm the selection, and then say “ACCEPT”.
      9. Say one of the lock screen display options listed.
      10. Say “DONE”.

      11. The “Unlock with fingerprint” user message appears. Say “NEXT”.

      12. Lightly touch the fingerprint sensor to scan your fingerprint.
        Note: The fingerprint sensor is on the surface of the power button. To scan your fingerprint, lightly touch the power button. Do not press the button.
      13. Follow the instructions on the screen to lift your finger and touch the fingerprint sensor again.

      14. Repeat the step 13 until the “Fingerprint added” user message appears. Say “DONE”.

      15. To add another fingerprint for a different user, say “ADD FINGERPRINT”.

      16. Repeat steps 11 through 14 to scan another fingerprint.

      Screen Unlock with PIN

      To unlock RealWear Navigator with a PIN, do the following:

      1. Say “UNLOCK”.
      2. Say the word shown under each number of your PIN.
      3. Say “ACCEPT”.

      Screen Unlock with Fingerprint Scan

      To unlock RealWear Navigator with a fingerprint scan, lightly touch the power button from the lock screen with the fingerprint saved on the device.
