      Firmware Release 12.5 Release Notes

      This document provides release notes for RealWear HMT-1Z1® firmware release 12.5, which is updated to the latest security patch, additional features, and minor bug fixes.

      Overview

      This release is applicable to the HMT-1Z1. Any HMT-1Z1 sold by RealWear may update to this release. Earlier updates may need to be installed before 12.5.0 can be installed.

      Android Security Updates

      Security updates released through the end of October 2022 have been incorporated into this release.

      Kiosk mode support

      Support for Kiosk mode has now been added the HMT-1Z1 device family in this release, allowing control of kiosk mode from the RealWear Cloud for all HMT devices.

      Bug Fixes and Known Issues

      Bug fixes and improvements have been made for this release. Contact RealWear support for any details on specific fixes or issues.

      Regulatory Compliance

      Due to regulatory compliance, the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band is disabled for devices sold to Israel and Bahrain.

      Android Security Updates

      Security updates released through the end of September 2022 have been incorporated into this release.
