Firmware Release 12.4 Release Notes
This article provides release notes for RealWear HMT-1Z1® firmware release 12.4, which is updated to the latest security patch, additional features, and minor bug fixes.
Overview
This release is only applicable to the HMT-1Z1 standard model. Any HMT-1Z1 sold by RealWear may update to this release. Earlier updates may need to be installed before 12.4.0 can be installed.

Android Security Updates
Security updates released through the end of April 2022 have been incorporated into this release.
Bug Fixes and Known Issues
Bug fixes and improvements have been made for this release. Contact RealWear support for any details on specific fixes or issues.
Note: The previous issue with device connections to Cisco Wi-Fi networks where Fast Transition set to either 'On' or 'Adaptive' (CSCvu24770) has been addressed in this release.
Network Connections
The following changes have been made to improve the network connection experience for end users:
- “GET CONNECTED” voice command prompt added to the home screen.
- “GET CONNECTED” voice command prompt added to the My Training app.
Regulatory Compliance
Due to regulatory compliance, the 5 GHz Wi-Fi band is disabled for devices sold to Israel and Bahrain.
WearML Indicators
The default setting for WearML indicators is set to FADE NEVER.
Note: The previous default setting was FADE 3 SECONDS.
