Do I still need Ari Business if I already manage my RealWear devices with Microsoft Intune?
Yes, most customers use both. Intune and Ari Business each cover things the other doesn’t, and together they let you ship a device that is fully configured and ready to use.

What Intune does on RealWear devices (Android AOSP)
Intune handles enrollment identity, certificates and certificate-based Wi-Fi, compliance rules and Conditional Access, remote wipe, lock and passcode reset, and device restriction policies such as blocking USB file transfer, SD cards, camera and debugging.
What Ari Business does
Ari Business handles what Intune can’t do on RealWear devices:
- Marketplace of voice-optimized apps that update automatically
- Firmware monitoring and scheduling
- Home screen configuration and RealWear-compatible kiosk mode
- 802.1X Wi-Fi without certificates
- Usage telemetry and reports
- Cloud Sync and Collaborate settings
How they work together
Ari Business streamlines deployment. By the time Intune enrollment finishes, the device is already configured exactly as you want it. You can then power it off, ship it and have it ready to use when it arrives.
Where each one stops
- Intune doesn’t manage RealWear firmware, the home screen or kiosk mode, and it has no voice-optimized app Marketplace or usage telemetry. Enrollment and remote actions run one device at a time.
- Ari Business doesn’t deliver certificates, remote wipe or lock, compliance rules or Conditional Access, or device restriction policies.
