Device Cleaning
Battery Cleaning
WARNING
Always keep the RealWear Navigator™ 500 battery dry. If the battery is exposed to excessive moisture, the battery housing indicator illuminates red, the warranty is voided, and the battery should be disposed of properly.
Use any of the following to wipe down the RealWear Navigator™ 500 battery:
- Damp cloth and mild soap
- Isopropyl alcohol wipes
- Dry cloth
- Cotton swabs
- Toothbrush
Hard Surface Cleaning
WARNING
Never submerge RealWear Navigator. Make sure all covers are securely shut when cleaning the device.
Use any of the following to wipe down the RealWear Navigator hard surfaces:
- Damp cloth and mild soap
- Isopropyl alcohol wipes
Display and Camera Cleaning
Use any of the following to wipe down the RealWear Navigator display and camera:
- Microfiber cloth
- Dry cloth and screen cleaner solution
Fabric Cleaning
Clean the Workband with isopropyl alcohol wipes, as required. The Workband will require replacement with normal wear over time. Go to https://shop.realwear.com to order a replacement Workband, as required.
Accessories Cleaning
Go to https://shop.realwear.com to order replacement parts, as required.
Hardhat Clips
Clean hardhat clips with isopropyl alcohol wipes or water, as required.
Note: Use toothpicks to remove dirt from the hardhat clips.
Ear Buds and Foam Tips
WARNING
Do not use water or a cleaning solution to clean the RealWear Navigator ear buds or foam tips. Excessive moisture can damage the ear buds and foam.
Polish the ear buds with a dry or slightly damp cloth, as required.
Clean the ear bud foam tips with a dry cloth, as required. The ear bud foam tips are made of memory foam and will eventually require replacement with normal use over time.
