Deleting Files
Edit Mode lets you pick out files in a folder and delete them together. It is available in My Media, My Documents, My Photos and My Downloads. It is not available inside My Drives, where files can be opened but not deleted.
To delete a single file without Edit Mode, open it and say "MORE OPTIONS" and then "DELETE".
Deleting files
- Open the folder holding the files.
- Say "MORE OPTIONS", then "EDIT MODE". A circle appears on every file.
- Say "SELECT ITEM" followed by the number shown on a file. The circle becomes a tick. Repeat for each file you want. To take the whole folder, say "SELECT ALL ITEMS" instead.
- Say "DELETE SELECTED".
- The device asks whether you are sure. Say "CONFIRM DELETION" to go ahead, or "CANCEL" to keep the files.
Deletion is permanent. There is no recycle bin on the device to recover a file from, so a file you delete is gone unless it also exists somewhere else.
Say "CLEAR SELECTION" to unpick everything and start over, or "CANCEL EDIT" to leave Edit Mode without deleting anything.

"DELETE SELECTED" and "CLEAR SELECTION" appear once you have selected something, so an empty selection shows only "CANCEL EDIT" and "SELECT ALL ITEMS".
