This document provides public notice for the Ari OS 2.0 Maintenance Release for RealWear Arc 3.

Overview

Ari OS 2.0 Maintenance Release for RealWear Arc 3 devices. 

This release marks the 2.0 Maintenance Release of the Ari OS software package on a RealWear device - following releases will be available through the Early Access program and follow the same lifecycle as other releases.

1. Release Notes

1.1 Pixel Orbit Solution

Implemented the pixel orbit feature, which subtly shifts display content at regular intervals to mitigate static image retention on display.

1.2 Update Boot-Up Animation

Revised the boot-up animation to prominently display the Ari OS branding.

1.3 Collaborate 2.4:

  • Added functionality to configure a contact via the configuration file for automatic calling when the device is unplugged.

  • Enabled auto-answering of incoming calls upon device unplugging, with this feature activated by default.

  • Enhanced contact display capabilities to prioritize individuals based on user familiarity and recent chat interactions.

  • Implemented functionality to hide specific groups from both the groups and contacts lists.

  • Made the in-call volume button visible on non-RealWear devices.

  • Introduced notifications to alert users if device time is incorrectly configured, which adversely affects Teams and Collaborate functionality.

Collaborate Bug Fixes

  • Resolved issue preventing the contacts database from loading after user re-login.

  • Addressed navigation-related issues to improve user interface flow.

1.4 Commander:

  • Corrected the auto time zone feature to remain enabled after device reboot

1.5 Device Agent:

  • Add auto call initiation when device is unplugged for Collaborate 2.4

  • Grant system alert window permission for Collaborate

  • Fix twin timeout by increasing it

  • Minimize brightness when device sleeps

1.6 Home Screen:

  • Hide Ari carousel on the home screen when opted out

1.7 Keyboard:

  • Add relevant accents for Danish Voice Keyboard

1.8 Ari :

  • Localize Hey Ari in Portuguese
